My father's grandfather, or my Great-
Grampa (as he always spelled it), passed away yesterday after a long and stubborn battle with his chronic heart disease. He battled so many medical problems in his last decade, continuing to thrive when so many others in his position might have given up, and in so doing teaching us all many a lesson. Although I only knew Great-
Grampa for six months, we spent much time together -- playing, eating, laughing and enjoying each other's company. I may not remember those times directly, but surely these photos will leave an everlasting impression on me.
Mommy, Daddy and I are terribly sad that Great-
Grampa is gone, but he will never be forgotten. We will miss him dearly, and he is in our thoughts and prayers this evening. We love you Great-
Grampa...
