A toast to the big man

Happy Birthday Uncle AG! I know that I am not supposed to be drinking yet, but here's to you. A big swig of the white stuff in honor of your 24th! Miss you. Tyler.

More time at the park

I promised more pictures from our trip to the local park, last week, so I don't want to disappoint. I am still learning to enjoy the park "experience." Meanwhile, Mommy went out tonight -- for the first time since I was born -- without Daddy! Daddy and I were supposed to have a "boy's night" at home tonight, but of course he didn't get home from work until 6:58, two minutes before my bed time and thirty minutes after Mommy was supposed to leave for dinner. Oh well, poor Mommy. I'm sure she will have fun tonight, anyways.

We have been busy making plans for the move to Ann Arbor. There are so many things to do...and I have to work on my crawling skills throughout it all! I am getting up on my knees and rocking these days -- about to crawl -- and sometimes I even get up on my hands and feet and do push-ups. Fun stuff!

Love and miss you all. Keep in touch as always. TSG. XOXOXOXOXO.

Baby Proofing...

Hello again. Life has been pretty good of late over on Wyman Street in JP. The construction across the way continues and often wakes me up from my naps a bit earlier than I'd like -- that should change for the better once we get to Ann Arbor. Aside from that, though, things have been good. The weather was nice last week, so Mommy and Daddy and I ventured out to grab some ice cream at JP Licks and then over to the playground on Centre Street. Of course, my parents both said that "I couldn't have ice cream yet." I think they just didn't want to share it. Not that I really wanted Daddy's "lactose-free" ice cream...what is that stuff?!?

The park was pretty empty as it had just snowed and it wasn't really all that warm. I tried out the swing and the slide but didn't really fall for either. I think I enjoyed my new stroller the most, which kind of upset Mommy, because I know she really wants me to like the playground. I think that I will like having my own green space, in our new house in Michigan -- at least for the few warm months this summer! There are a few pics from the playground below...more to come in a few days.

Meanwhile, back on the home front, I have been chowing down of late. Lots of veggies and fruit for me; I even tried some yogurt the other day. I'm still deciding on that one. I haven't really enjoyed a "green" vegetable yet...they just don't taste as sweet as the orange and yellow ones. Aside from eating, and now sleeping about 12 hours at night (I now go to sleep at 7 PM and wake up near 7 AM), we have been packing a bunch for the upcoming move. All the tables and lamps are out of my play room (read: the only living area in the house) in preparation for TYLER GOING MOBILE, as Mommy and Daddy refer to it. The cabinets are now "buttoned down" and all of the plugs have little plastic guards on them. Boring! I get up on my knees and rock back and forth -- I even took two little knee-steps forwards yesterday -- but haven't really started to crawl yet. Give me a little time, though...

Be sure to keep up with the blog as there will be many more pics from the playground in the next day or two. Hope all is well. Love you! Tyler S. XOXOXOXOXO.

Love at first sight

It has been a warm winter and the last week did not prove to be an exception. The temperature reached into the 70's today -- getting me very excited for Spring. By the time the grass is out and spring time is really here, I should be crawling! Wow...the time sure goes quickly. Mommy and I have been busy this week; between the swim classes and baby play groups, making me more and more and more baby food at home, and trying to pick Daddy up at work when he says he's ready (which evidently means 45 minutes later than what he says), I am exhausted. Today was even crazier because when we got to Boston City Hospital to pick Daddy up, he called and told us to drive far away -- as there was a gang war within the first floor of the hospital and two people had already been shot!! I am glad that he made it out safely. And then I ate 3 jars of baby food for dinner...

Love you as always. Keep in touch. Tyler Samuel. XOXOXOXOXO.

Not much new in JP

So, I have been bombarded with e-mails over the past few days reminding me that the very presence of a blog suggests that I am supposed to be providing updates in a timely manner. You asked, so you shall receive. There are several hundred more photos in the archives, and yes -- I know that I should be putting them on the smugmug website -- but look for more blog updates in the next few days. Hope all are well.

Love and miss you. P.S. We are getting ready for the upcoming move to Ann Arbor! If anyone has moving advice, or suggestions for good moving companies, feel free to drop a comment! TSG. XOXOXOXOXO.
