An update from 30,000 feet

I am posting pictures today while flying cross-country (or so it feels) to visit Mommy's family in Minnesota. The good news is that I will have enough miles to earn a free trip somewhere before I turn two. The bad news is the miles will probably expire before I am old enough to actually have to pay for a ticket. Oh well, at least I got my own seat today. Can't wait to tell you all about my time in Rochester and Fairmont....I get to finally meet Uncle BJ today!! Here are a few pics from last week for now...

More soon. I love you. Your friend, Tyler Samuel. XOXOXOXOXOXO.

Guess who's a quadraped?

On the whole, things are looking up. The weather in Boston has been marvelous, allowing be to make daily pilgrimages to the park and the tot-lot, and Red Sox pitching (and batting) to shine. The Yankees left Boston sans victory, allowing them to be so low on confidence that the D-Rays became a scary prospect. On the home front, Mommy and Daddy are excited to report that they will be able to move into our new home in Ann Arbor earlier than anticipated, in early June. More time for my grass to grow!! And lastly, I have learned to crawl -- and crawl I do. I roam all over the house, sit-up wherever I want, and lately have even begun to pull-to-stand on various objects. A few new bumps takes getting used to, but I am having a blast. I keep hearing the phrase "tough to contain" mentioned...

Love and miss everyone. Can't wait to see many of you in Ann Arbor soon, and say good-bye to others before we leave. Tyler. XOXOXOXOXOXO.

Finding the Afikomen

My first Passover has come and gone, but I will remember the taste of Matzoh forever! And I thought peas were nasty. Our Passover Seders were very nice and gave me the chance to see family & friends that I hadn't seen in a while. Most importantly, I had the opportunity to search for the Afikomen...

Chillin' with Aunt Darlene

Grandma Sue doing what she does best...singing!

Uncles Bob and Howard, along with Great-Aunt Sylvia...the Uncles will be getting married in June this year!!

Uncle Bob and Great-Grandma Wotiz enjoying the Manischewitz.

The whole Seder crew, with Grandpa IG leading the evening

No, the Afikomen was not far away, but I did find it quickly!!

Mom has her hand ready should I try and eat the ceremonial Afikomen

Exploring the interesting texture that is Matzoh....Mommy what's a binder?

Opening gifts!

Grandpa and Grandma Abel sent a package full of gifts a little while ago, but I haven't had the chance to publicly thank them until now. For Passover, I received a number of fun and "practical" items, including shorts, pants, toys and more! I think I have had the opportunity to use them all by now. Thanks G&G! For those who are mandated reporters, please ignore the fact that it appears that I am opening a box of "Firestarters" -- this was just the box, really, I promise.

Hope all is well. Love you. TSG. XOXOXOXOXOXO. Less than 60 days until Ann Arbor...

Ready for Spring Break!

As a family, we decided it was about time for me to experience my first hair cut. Not having had one in the past, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, although I kept hearing the word "tears" come up in Mommy and Daddy's conversations about the subject. It was nothing like expected. I had a ball. Ahkil from Iraq cut my hair at Sal the Barber's shop on Centre street in JP. Great guy. Still not exactly sure who Sal is, though. I jumped and talked and played with Mommy's car keys and cell phone and before I knew it, the whole thing was over. I am now ready to pick up some babes on spring break. If only we were actually going on spring break. Instead, I am ready for the graduation class photo today (Mommy and infants group), and my trip to semi-arctic Minnesota in a few weeks. BJ, question: Can you set-up a little spring break action for us on my upcoming trip? Can't wait to show off my new look...

So, that's the new me. Tyler v2.0. New and improved. But, same old guy inside! Can't wait to see you... Love, TSG. XOXOXOXOXO.

Bubble-licious!

Aunt Darlene gave me a gift for the Passover holiday, and I haven't let it leave my sight since. A bubble maker. This little green hippo squirts bubbles out of its mouth -- and I love it! Between the noise the hippo makes and the many bubbles themselves, I just have a blast. I even let them pop on my face...very refreshing! I just pray to the Mommy and Daddy g-ds that they never run out of AA batteries.

Meanwhile, a shout out to Uncle BJ who is back from an almost year-long hiatus in Denmark. He played pro hockey for a team there, and was the leading scorer all season long. He also drove around on a ridiculous looking bicycle with those springs under the seat. Cool. I still have yet to meet him in real life, but feel like we are close after all those web cams. A congrats is also in order to my former Boston-based grandparents who have officially taken the plunge (along with the rest of the Goldstein family) to move out west to California. They will be based in San Diego now. Can't wait to visit!

Love as always. Yours, Tyler. XOXOXOXOXOXO.

Funky Fotos

Daddy got a new lens for the camera, which he likes and Mommy does not. It makes things appear out-of-focus, and although that strategy seems a bit odd for a photographer, it makes for a relatively neat and unique effect. I'll post a few of the photos he has taken so far and let you be the judge. Be sure to scroll down below this post for more pics, as there are THREE blog posts today! Love you...
