A Week of Firsts

After the celebration of my first birthday died down over the week (and this itself was slow with my Minnesota extended family staying until Tuesday and Great-Gramma staying until Friday), I tried some new things. Unknown to many of you, I have been secretly taking swimming lessons at the local YMCA, working on the crawl and backstroke. Uncle Brandon had the chance to try it out with me, and we had a ball. I even got to ride FACING FORWARDS on the way to the pool. Now, that is really cool. Who knew there seats up front, too! Meanwhile, we figured that since I now am rated as "Almost a Rescue Swimmer" by the American Red Cross, we could head out on the open water as a family.

That lasted for all of 29 minutes.

But, as Mommy said, at least I got to wear a cool life-jacket! I hope you enjoy the photos...

Love, Tyler. XOXOXOXOXO.

The Best Day Ever!

I have very little to say this Sunday, because I officially turned one today -- and I partied like it was 1999. Both sides of the family came to visit us in Ann Arbor, and we all enjoyed the weekend tremendously. Take a look at the pics...

Love and miss you. TSG. XOXOXOXOXO.
