St. Maarten Beach Bums!

After a difficulty journey in both directions, we have finally returned from vacation in St. Maarten, albeit without any of our luggage! The trip itself was fabulous, and we all have a bit more color to show for it. Plenty of pictures will be added to the blog in a day or so, but all of the photos have been uploaded to Smugmug if you want to view them. They can be seen in St. Maarten gallery one and gallery two.

Plenty more details to come! Love you. TSG. XOXOXOXOXOXO.

Getting ready for St. Maarten: Baguettes here we come!

Spring has finally come and with it has come the largest snow fall of the season. Can you believe that? We are expecting approximately 12 inches over 16 hours and there are already 6 inches on the ground; it only started snowing 4 hours ago! Crazy! In any case, we head out to St. Maarten for a little family trip (the whole Goldstein clan, in fact) on Sunday. Although I have been sick lately (cough, cold type stuff), I cannot wait for the beach...my Mommy is a bit concerned for me on the flight, though. We have just about every toddler sized piece of pool/ocean gear packed, so I am at least well prepared. Meanwhile, I am told that the Peli Deli (the local market near our resort on the island) is famous for French baguettes, so I have begun practicing already...check it out!

And for all those loyal followers who were concerned about my condition after that most recent video -- let's just say that kids are tough! I have spent the last couple of days beating up Daddy for it, though. Love you all! TSG. XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

From dress-up to dress-down

Mommy and I had a little fun this week, while Daddy was busy at work. He has been gone a lot lately, so I have been really getting a ton of quality one-on-one time with Mommy (which she says we get all the time, anyway, but I kinda like it). I tried on Daddy's t-shirt and had some fun -- Mommy started calling me Yoda but I didn't know what that meant. In any case, check out the pics. Daddy is finally off for the weekend, so we should have a few photos to post in the next few days. Mom and Dad are headed to a U Mich playoff hockey game tonight, so I get some Olivia time (my favorite, and only, babysitter)....wahoooo!!! Just one more week until St. Maarten! I have really been working on my jabbering of late, too. Cool.

Love, Tyler. XOXOXOXOXOXO

Bath time: Nineteen months

Pizza Pizza....the Video!

Pizza Pizza!

Seeing as my uncle Brandon is now considered (at least in part) Italian, I figured that I would partake in the ancient Italian tradition of pizza-making. First, I rolled out the dough (or at least the good folks at Trader Giotto's did), then I tossed it and stretched it (for real, check me out in the pics!), and then sauced it (again, for real), and then covered it with cheese and baked it. We let it go a bit too long, so it got a little dry but we had a blast making pizza for the first time!

Love you. I'll save you a slice! TSG. XOXOXOXOXOX

Tyler meets the xylophone!

Jumpin' Around

Not sure if it is an official Olympic sport yet, but I am doing my best to make it to China as the US representative in jumping. I will jump onto and off of anything! I just love getting up into the air (and I usually don't even fall!). What's more? I have a brand new chair of my own (the blue one below) to play with and jump on! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa G for the gift -- I love it! Best to all....happy Sunday! We're off to the pool now.

Lovin' the white stuff (snow, of course)!

Six more weeks of winter...still?

Ann Arbor got hit with another 8 to 10 inches of snow over the past three or so days, making this a winter that locals say they haven't seen in many years. We are kind of enjoying it. I get the chance to run around in the snow and even help Mommy shovel the sidewalks (of course, Daddy fails to accomplish this task before going off to work and the city will issue a $500 fine if you haven't finished the job within 4 hours after the snow stops falling). Besides that, and the recent basement addition to my play space, there are a few small additional items. First, I have started to talk....a lot! I say "Momma" and "Dadda" -- to the correct person -- a lot, my parents are convinced I am saying "be happy," and I say "ohhhhh" when I fall and "Yeah" when I am asked if I want ANY food item. Very cool. I also have grown quite fond of jumping on things. Meanwhile, I am very much looking forward to our Caribbean vacation coming up soon!!
