Daddy worked the overnight shift on Monday so I missed him. When he arrived at home on Tuesday morning, I wanted to spend some time with him and Mommy together. Daddy wanted to sleep. In the end, I was able to convince him to go blackberry picking (a sort of compromise, as I wanted to go to the park and he wanted to eat lunch before sleeping) and blackberry picking we went. We grabbed an easy 4 1/2 quarts in 40 minutes or so (the place was just 10 minutes from our house) and make it back in time for lunch and a stellar nap. I managed to get some blackberry on my face while picking (i.e. eating). Thank goodness they only charge for what you leave with (and that they don't weigh you before & after!).

The Wave Field

Soon after my Abel (Minnesota) Grandparents left Ann Arbor, my Goldstein (now California) Grandparents arrived to continue the birthday celebration. I think I even turned two a third time. The good news is that we had a blast! The bad news was that Daddy's little digital camera died so we don't have a ton of pictures (hopefully that will be remedied soon thanks to Grandma's iPhone and all the photos she clicked). We packed a ton of things into a short couple of days, including a first trip to the University of Michigan Wave Field (an actual living grass/earth sculpture kind of thing). Our neighbors used to celebrate their birthdays there so we figured it was worth a shot. SO cool! We all had fun running up and over the bumps, hiding from each other and, of course, rolling down the hundreds of mini-hills. Check us out!

It's my birthday and I'll party like I want to...

Can't fit any more words into the title, I guess. Anyways, the last week or so has been so much fun. First, Uncle Brandon came to visit. Then Grandma and Grandpa Abel. We went to the petting zoo, and then spent a few days opening gifts for my birthday. Amazing. The choo choo set is so cool! Uncle Brandon came to visit me in Ann Arbor for a few days before my second birthday! We had a total blast...playing in the backyard, going to the park, checking out my favorite toy store (a personal favorite) and generally just hangin'. Check us out...

To save you from having to go through the hundreds of photos on Smugmug, from our recent trip to Boston and Wingaersheek, I decided to post a few of my favorites on the blog. Now keep in mind that these are just a few of many, many, awesome photos. We had a total blast and now I am sick -- sorry Mommy! The good news is that I just keep on blabbing along (I really am talking a lot now) and running around, despite a bad cough.
