Lazy day around the house

I spent the day lounging around the house, yesterday. A much needed break from the BBQ's, restaurants and long walks. Mommy read Dr. Seuss' (a Dartmouth graduate) Green Eggs and Ham to me for the first time, and I loved it. I can't wait to find out if he wrote other books!

I also got to try out my new Aquarium swing, when I was a bit fussy. Not sure if I like that one or not, yet. We'll have to see... Had another bath -- which is good because I was beginning to wonder whether or not my parents cared if I smell! I love bath time.

We went for a long walk around the Jamaica Pond today -- almost 4.5 miles! I slept for most of the walk, but what I did get to see was beautiful. Lots of geese and ducks. Tall trees. Plenty of shade. Can't wait to go back with Rosie when the Fafard's comes to visit this Labor Day weekend. Cool! We might also go to a Red Sox game now that tickets are so cheap...

Hugs and kisses. XOXOXOXOXO.

How many pediatricians does it take to...

Jenga is clearly a very serious game. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to watch my first Jenga match. I was invited (with Mommy and Daddy) to a barbeque for all the senior residents of the BCRP (Boston Combined Residency in Pediatrics -- for those not in the know) at Dr. Vinci's house in West Roxbury. I ate (guess what?) breast milk, and slept, while all of the pediatricians ate steak, chicken, veggies and lots of rice crispy treats. It was fun for all until the Great Jenga Match of 2006 began. Let's just say that Street-Dog (never the toppler) has played this game before, mini-chief was sweatin' bullets, Garvey let everyone know when she was nervous and Schneids' ended up being the unfortunate soul to knock it all down. I had fun watching them play and trash talk for hours.

Meanwhile, in the morning before the barbeque, Mommy and Daddy and I went for a long walk in the rain to the post office. I got to try out my new all-weather storm cover for the stroller and wait in a long line at the post office in order to mail my birth announcements to Canada and Denamrk (yipeee!). We ate lunch at June Bug Cafe in Jamaica Plain on the way home.

Back to the barbeque. I had the chance to wear my first hoodie...

And I finally got to meet Cathy while I was awake!

But everything came back to Jenga before the night was over.

That's it for today. Lots of new pictures are going up in the album today. Hugs and Kisses. XOXOXOXOXO

End of Week Three

Sorry about the lack of updates -- it has been a basy couple of days for me. My parents took me to the dentist for the first time today, although Pelly said I was too young to have a cleaning! I posed for a couple of cool photos with her, though.

Then I hung out with my great grandparents in Milton, where they graciously gave me a silver cup -- which has been in the family for some three generations. Very cool. We took a few pictures together as well.

I took a long stroll around the neigborhood with Mommy and Daddy, my Boston grandparents, and Andrew. What a beautiful sunny day it was -- although made somewhat sad by the fact that this was my last time seeing Andrew for a while, as he is moving to LA tomorrow! He is driving cross-country with Grandpa Irwin and catching the Little League World Series and several MLB ballgames along the way. Very fun!

In any case, I have to catch up on my sleep now. Can't wait to hear how BJ is doing in France! Hugs and kisses. XOXOXOXO. A few pics from the last two days are below:

Getting to know my great grandparents!

This is the first time I have met Pelly, my parents' dentist. Little does she know that my Daddy only flosses for the week before he goes to see her, twice a year!

My Mommy is received a cherished silver baby cup from my great grandparents. Can't wait to try it out!

Uncle AG. We will miss you dearly...but I cannot wait to visit in sunny Los Angeles (once I have my shots on board!).

Bath Time...

I was a bit anxious about my first real bath...

But I relaxed quickly...

Until my Mommy decided that I should try out my first mohawk (she should know that I am more of a part on the left kind-of-guy)!

I got over that, though, and hung out in my birthday suit for a bit...

I will say, the whole "air dry" thing is a bit over-rated...

Oh...Coochie Coo yourself!

Always happy with a little tummy time...

And I got to fall asleep learning about Wally the Green Monster and Rem Dawg!

The rest of my bath time pictures, along with others from week three are on SmugMug.

We Made Weight!

Like a champion boxer, I had to "make weight" today at the pediatrician's office. I was told get back to my birth weight of 8 lbs, 14 oz by Wednesday -- and I beat it by a firm 1/2 ounce. Now Mommy and Daddy can relax and stop calling me "mini Tyler." Even Kara (my pediatrician for those new to this page) said "YAY" when she heard! Very cool.

It seems that lots of things turned the tide yesterday. The Red Sox finally grabbed victory from the jaws of defeat (although many have changed the signs on the bandwagon to 2007 already) and the FDA actually approved Plan B (the morning after pill) as an over-the-counter medication. And, after all these years, Pluto finally decided that it was not a planet -- reducing the solar system to just eight planets (and Daddy's kindergarten teacher to a liar).

I was finally able to video chat with Nana Jo and Grandpa David last night. They first watched me scream and scream but after a little dinner (you guessed it, milk!) I was back and happy...so happy that I fell asleep in front of the camera, thus ending my professional neonatal acting career. It was great to talk with them and be able to see each other!

Meanwhile, Aunt Lauren and Uncle Jeremy are back from their honeymoon and have settled into their new lives in Sunnyvale, California. Their honeymoon professional photo shoot is awesome!

Hugs and kisses. Good luck to BJ playing hockey in France this week! XOXOXOXOXO.

The more things change, the more they...

Life is back to routine today. I fed on a three hour schedule, napped in between feeds, the Big Dig remains closed and will stay that way beyond Labor Day, and the Red Sox lost their sixth in a row despite having moved on from the Yankees and started rookie Dustin Pedroia. I guess there's always next year (am I too young to be saying this about the Sox?)!

Meanwhile, Kara (my favorite pediatrician from Centre Pediatrics - the hottie in the picture) came to visit me today! She brought me a stuffed animal and new clothes for the Fall. It was so nice to hang out with her outside of "the office." And I get to see her again tomorrow to get my weight checked!

Should be a busy remainder of the week. I have lots of friends of Mommy and Daddy who still want to visit me and I have to say goodbye to Uncle AG who is moving across the country (very sad) to better weather. If only he knew that the weather inside the lab was the same!

Hugs and kisses. XOXOXOXOXOXO.

Son of Boston Massacre

My Daddy went to Game 5 of the Red Sox and Yankees Series yesterday. I think I am happy that I stayed home with mommy. Mommy and I had milk and hung out in the Baby Bjorn, while Daddy drowned his sorrows in watered down beer with Uncle AG and Grandpa IG. They came to visit afterwards which was OK, but they seemed depressed. I did get a new outfit, though! I tried to talk to Nana Jo and Grandpa David but our schedules didn't work out (that's code for 'I was hungry'). Talk to you again soon. Hugs and Kisses XOXOXOXOXO.

Katie & Allan's Wedding

I went to my first wedding tonight. What an amazing event! Paper flowers, real flowers, grass everywhere -- my Dad was sneezing the entire time! My Mom kept trying to breast feed me but there was little milk...I think she was nervous because the bride and groom kept coming in the room while I was trying to eat. I wanted to dance my first hora, but my parents left me with Grandma and Grandpa while they hoisted Katie and Allan up on chairs. Oh well, next time. We got home well past my bed time (which is every three hours at this point!) so I gotta run now...see you tomorrow. Hugs and kisses XOXOXOXOXO.
