Apple picking and pigs grazing...

Since my dad is lazy and still hasn't returned to work, while my mom has been caring for me day and night (and doing a mighty fine job at it, I might add), we decided to stay up at the beach for several more days. The weather has been mostly good -- sunny and warm on Saturday, slightly cooler in the 60's today. The highlight of Saturday was a trip to the farm (Russel Orchards in Essex, near Crane's Beach) for apple picking. We saw a giant pig lying in the mud (see below), an ornery goat bothering a farm worker trying to repair a fence, took a hayride behind a John Deere tractor, and -- of course -- picked tons of apples. When we returned home, we made a giant apple pie (somehow using three pie crusts?!), a dozen candy apples (which, so far, only Daddy is eating), apple pancakes (without lactose for Daddy) and "IG's Awesome Wingaersheek Country Apple Sauce." I, of course, ate breast milk.

Mommy and I checking out the weather (and a new hair style) before the big trip to the farm.

"b is for bus" the shirt says. Do you like my new hair style?

In memory of Mr. Steve Irwin (the pig hunter??)...

Mommy, me and the pig that bites (what is wrong with my parents?)

Yep, as Mommy said, the hayride is not as comfortable as the Volvo. More fun, though.

The apple is almost as big as the...

I was gettin' pretty sweaty inside that bjorn-thingy...

A nice family photo

An apple a day will keep the urologist away?

Daddy making those dentists rich (candy apples)!

Afterwards, it was bath time -- and Daddy gave me a bath for the first time...I screamed the whole time (Mommy is so much better...maybe she won't make Daddy do them anymore?!)

Three generations (or is that blue monster couch old enough to make this four generations?)

The beach this morning (it is always more beautiful than the day before)

At night, I am finally able to sleep a little better. Mommy thanks me every morning for only waking up to feed twice a night...she says I am growing. It is weird, though -- I never see Daddy at night. I wonder where he goes?

In family news, I am told that Andrew has officially moved into his new LA apartment with BT, although I am also told that it is filthy and they need to purchase a vacuum. Jeremy told Lauren who told Grandma Sue who told Jaime who told Daddy that he is close to being offered a job in web design out in San Fran. Cool! Uncle BJ is playing in the Danish Cup this week...although he still has no idea what it is! Nana Jo has officially entered her Junior year of undergraduate work in Minnesota -- I have five bucks on her graduating before Uncle BJ! And...great news for Uncle Bob and Uncle Howard who officially announced their engagement last week (Bob proposed down on Fire Island during their vacation). I can't wait to see the rings...

As always, you can see the rest of the pictures from our apple picking trip on Smugmug! Hugs and kisses to everybody. XOXOXOXOXO.
